Local and Global Missions

Local and Global Missions

We make disciples everywhere we go.

We take seriously the command of Jesus:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:19

We are to make Disciples

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28:19

Why do we talk about and support missions?

It is God's passion to reach those who have never heard of Christ’s love. God doesn’t desire for anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

Because missions is God’s passion, it must be our highest resolve to share the Gospel, the good news, to everyone who will hear (Matt 28:19-20). That’s missions.

Our Goal for 2025 is to invest in and partner, locally and globally, with mission endeavors including:

Total Missions Giving of $200,000+

Invest over $40,000 in Compassion Projects, including Convoy of Hope
Invest over $40,000 in Local Missions such as Union Gospel Mission, Olive Crest, PRC, and more!
Invest over $120,000 in Global Missions

In addition, we give Thanksgiving baskets through Olive Crest foster care, serve at Vision House and our local Ridgecrest Elementary, provide weekend food packs to local school, and much more!

Thank you for your generosity!

How do we Invest in Missions?

There are at least three ways that we can all support missions:
Pray
Please pray for our 50+ partners in sharing the Gospel. Paul wrote, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.  And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” (Colossians 4:2–6). That’s our prayer for all our missions partners.
Give
Because of you faithfulness, we are supporting and sending the message of hope to our hurting world. Paul asked the question, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:14–15) We have a team of missionaries who are Gospel-centric, compelled by compassion, and stirred by the issues of injustice, both locally and globally. Our goal is to raise up an indigenous, sustaining church-based movement, equipping workers to build the kingdom.
Go
Jesus has called us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” We have opportunities to “go” with our community outreaches such as the Vision House Serve Day, Ridgecrest Serve Day, and Trunk or Treat. We have sent teams to serve around the globe over the years, and we have opportunities to send teams this year. In addition to the global trips, we’ll provide opportunities of going on local trip as well, within Washington state or other places in the U.S.

Our Partners

We partner with a handful of different churches that are pursuing God and giving back to the community. Through Parent-Affiliated Churches (PACs), we support several churches regularly including:

TLC (The Living Christian Church) which is an international/Indonesian church meeting in the MPR on Sunday mornings, and

ICC (International Community Center) which is a holistic church plant meeting the needs of our global neighbors through family support, community care, English language learning, and more.

We are launching a coffeehouse in 2025 to meet our neighbors and bring our community together, as well as support missions and causes that benefit our city and world.
